Since I joined SwiftStack almost five years ago, my team and I have been working tirelessly to identify, verify, document, and demonstrate software applications that have been created or modernized to work with private and public cloud storage platforms like SwiftStack via Amazon’s popular S3 API or the open-standard OpenStack Swift API.

Some of the earliest solutions we validated were backup apps like Commvault Simpana and Veritas NetBackup, media asset managers like Vizrt Viz One, and CDNs like Amazon CloudFront.  Then, as the popularity of cloud storage began to rapidly increase, we worked closely with dozens more custom and commercial applications in production customer environments—like Levels Beyond Reach Engine at Activision Blizzard, Pivotal Cloud Foundry at FedEx, Splunk at Bet365, and Rubrik at Farm Bureau Insurance.  Now, in just the last year or so, the explosion of S3-compatible applications deployed with SwiftStack is growing faster than ever—as evidenced by recent announcements with Splunk, Veeam, InfiniteIO, TensorFlow, Quantum StorNext, and Nvidia MagLev (just to name a few!).

New Technology Partner Program

Building on this great momentum, I am excited to announce SwiftStack’s new Technology Partner Program and the “Works with SwiftStack” designation.  If you are a current or prospective customer, you should expect any application that works with the S3 or Swift APIs to “just work” with SwiftStack, but you can have an extra measure of confidence deploying an application that has been validated as “Works with SwiftStack,” because those vendors have performed specific testing and agreed to work together for your benefit.  If you are a software vendor, validating your application’s functionality will assure your users that your software works as expected with SwiftStack—the fastest and most scalable object storage in the world.

Works With SwiftStack Badge

So, to our hundreds of customers and technology partners, THANK YOU!  Many of you have provided invaluable insight and input to our product and our solutions strategies.  Our success and growth over these five years would have been impossible without you, and I am excited to see what the next five years bring in continued partnership with you all.

At the time of our TPP launch, we are including over two dozen applications designated as “Works with SwiftStack,” and more will be added soon.  You can find these solution partners listed at swiftstack.com/partners, and you can read about specific solutions at swiftstack.com/solutions.  If you are interested in becoming a technology partner, please visit the Technology Partner Program page.
